DTS Outreach: About the Team

Name: Joshua Okerman
Where I'm from: Kobe, Japan
My favorite part of outreach: I would definitely say it was going into Hillbrow in downtown Jo'burg. Not only did five people accept the Lord through our ministry there, but I know that we planted seeds in hundreds of people's lives!
What’s next in life: Right now I'm about to head back to the states and hang out with relatives this summer. Then I'll be heading to Wheaton College in the fall of this year.

Reason I'm at the top here: My brother, Jason, and I designed and built this website... so we deserve some credit don't you think!

	Names: James and Caz Collins + Malachi & Ethan Collins (1 and 2 years during outreach) Where We're from: South Africa, though our boys were both born in the USA Favorite ministry times: James: Prision ministry in Cape Town, because I saw how the guys there were willing to lengthen their sentances by confessing things no one knew about, in order to be right with God. Caz : Staying at the orphanage in Kulani. The Godly couple who ran it displayed God's character in all they did. It also gave me a fresh gratitude to God for my own precious little ones. Malachi and Ethan: Going to the beach and being babysat by Beth What we are doing now: We are now in West Africa leading a long term team of 5 staff; Working with street boys, hosting medical teams who treat locals free of charge, and helping our staff realise the dreams they have for the people and land we are living in. Above all, trying to make Jesus known!
	Name: Cerissa Rowden Where I'm from: San Juan Capistrano, CA My favorite part of outreach: My favorite ministry time was our street ministry in Jo-burg because of the seeds planted. The major thing I learned: Was that I NEED to lean on God and trust in him about everything. I also learned that the weaker I am the stronger He is and I like living in the comfort knowing that everything will be OK because He is always with me! What’s next in life: Right now I'm praying about the future and another YWAM school, and I'm working TRYING to save money. Yep, thats my exciting life.
	Name: Art Funk Where I'm from: Canada Favorite ministry time: The time I was able to share in the Jail and was able to lead a Muslim Guy to a relationship with God. Hardest ministry time: The Bar in Jo'burg! What's next: Right now I'm doing an SBF (School of Biblical Foundations) with YWAM in Denver.
